Archive 12: Mesoamerican Palace

Good Evening!

For this week, I've been intensely going though Wikipedia articles about different societies that interest me, and this photo is one of the 400+ that I've saved:

While I remember partly about the gold and gems that were abundant in the pre-Colombian Americas, I've never really thought about the architecture.

The grande staircase leading to the 3rd floor's rooftop(?) is pleasant to me. It makes me think of those villas that rich people like to have in the countryside.
